It has been another busy and exciting month at Cathedral Dental, our brand-new Christmas tree is up, and if we do say so ourselves, it’s looking beautiful! It’s been a year of changes and upgrades at the practice, and last but certainly not least was the Christmas tree! We hope you all like it 🙂
This month we welcomed two new team members, Adam, to our front-of-house team; Adam is so much fun and feels like he has been here for years already; we all love him and are sure you will too! We have also teamed up with Izzie (Ruscoe Aesthetics) to provide our patients with Dermal Fillers, Anti-wrinkle injections (known as B*tox) and skin treatments. Izzie is a fantastic clinician, Harley street level 7 trained; she will offer free consultations and 20% off your first treatment in January! We waved our dental nurse Kym off on her maternity leave, Kym has been a massive help to Indy the past few months in overhauling the practice’s Dental Implant journey, and we can’t thank her enough for all of her help. We wish Kym all the best of luck with the new arrival, and we can’t wait to welcome her back after her maternity leave.
We had our amazing annual Invisalign event in November, and it was so great to see so many patients starting their smile journeys with us. Invisalign is a life-changing treatment, and we feel lucky to be a part of that transformation for our patients. It is becoming so popular that most practices are offering this now; a common myth is that Invisalign is the same at every dental practice, and the truth is, it isn’t! I wanted to share my six top tips when it comes to choosing a dentist for your Invisalign treatment-
1- Choose a Diamond level provider; this means the Dentist is doing over 150 Invisalign cases per year, which means they are very experienced and knowledgable about Invisalign. When you visit the Invisalign website –www.invisalign.co.uk and search for your local Invisalign dentist, this will show you all the dentists in your area and what level provider they are, whether they use 3D scanners and if they offer finance.
2- Choose a practice that is a part of the Mismile Network; this means that the practice is a part of a collective group of dentists that do Invisalign, and they all use a team of specialist Orthodontists to plan out their Invisalign cases, so you can be sure you are going to get the absolute best results and that you are in safe hands!
3- Choose a dentist with the right technology– When you book your appointment, ask if the dentist uses a 3D scanner (Itero scanner). A scanner will enable you to see the before and after of your teeth before agreeing to treatment and will also provide a very accurate fit of your Invisalign aligners. Check if they use Dental Monitoring technology; dental monitoring is an app and scanning device that allows you to scan your teeth from home, ensuring that as well as your visits to the practice, we can monitor your tooth movements from the comfort of your own home.
4-Go by Reviews and recommendations– Before booking yourself for an Invisalign consultation, always visit the practice website, read online reviews and see their social media pages. This is a great way to learn about other patients’ experiences and get a feel for if you like the team and the practice.
5-Choose a dentist that provides different finance and payment plans & has flexible opening hours – Always ask what payment options the dentist provides; Invisalign can be a large sum of money to pay in one go, so make sure the practice you choose has different options to suit all budgets, also ask about opening hours, if you work five days a week, choose a practice that opens weekends and evenings, so you don’t have to take time off work for appointments.
6- GO WITH YOUR GUT– If you attend a consultation and something doesn’t feel right, don’t do it! Always shop around, and you will know when you find the right practice for you!
