At Cathedral Dental, we’re proud of the range endodontic treatments we’re able to provide for our patients.

What is endodontics?

Endodontics refers to the field of dentistry concerned with the interior of the tooth. We sometimes also refer to this as the ‘dental pulp’, which can become infected or inflamed at times.

How do I know if I need endodontic treatment?

There are a number of common symptoms that could indicate you are in need of endodontic treatment. These include:

  • Toothache
  • Increased sensitivity
  • Pain or difficulty when chewing or biting down
  • Unusual discolouration of the tooth
  • Swollen gums
  • Abscess

What is the treatment for these symptoms?

If you’re experiencing any of these symptoms, we’ll be able to diagnose and treat you for them here at Cathedral Dental. In many cases, we’ll be able to do so with a root canal treatment. If you are experiencing acute pain at this time, we can also provide emergency dental services.
