At Cathedral Dental, we regularly perform mouth cancer screenings as part of our commitment to preventive care.

What is a mouth cancer screening?

At Cathedral Dental we include a mouth cancer screening during all our dental examinations and check-ups. As with all cancers, catching and diagnosing mouth cancer as early as possible is incredibly important, which is why we provide this service for our patients as part of your regular check-ups with us.

What happens during a mouth cancer screening?

During your regularly scheduled dental examination with us, we will simply check for the most common mouth cancer symptoms. These include red and white patches in the mouth, as well as any abnormal swellings.

What happens if there is anything to be concerned about?

If we find anything during your screening that we think warrants further investigation, then we will either ask you to return for a follow-up appointment or refer you to a consultant.
